Hmmm speaking about Antarctica, the land of frozen water is a long shot for the Australian freshwater conference but if you consider that all water is connected, than speaking to a backdrop of ice is no different to a lake, stream or wetland. In this talk I will take you on a journey to the Southern Continent and unlock the mysteries of effective scientific communication.

Antarctica represents global scientific collaboration, it represents international treaty’s on peace, fisheries and exploration, it’s a place where human impact is controlled and regulated, and if you have the opportunity to visit, it’s a place where you can say the words ‘climate change’ out loud (and at a US research base). Following some key steps in effective communication can make your knowledge have relevance and influence. Come to this talk to hear some cold-water facts on the science behind science communication.
