Margaret Shanafield
Margaret Shanafield is a Senior DECRA Researcher at Flinders University with over 15 years of experience in streambed dynamics, water quality, international water development, groundwater flow, ecohydrology, lake dynamics, and irrigation water management. She has led and participated in projects in USA, Mexico, Sri Lanka, China, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. Currently, she is funded by the Australian Research Council for research to understand the mechanisms responsible for generating streamflow in arid river systems. She is an invited member of the Science Advisory Panel for the Colorado River Minute 319 and has served as an associate editor for Hydrogeology Journal.
